The 'Robinson Crusoe,' island castaway, holiday of a lifetime!

This resort, owned and run by an Englishman, Andy Pownall, is built right on the beach in truly splendid isolation. The bungalows are of traditional construction using local materials and blend in beautifully with the local flora and fauna.

All cottages offer exquisite views over the beach and the bay looks out toward the island of Culion. Full decks on the cottages provide lovely views of the horizon in the day, and of the stars at night.

There are ten bungalows in total and the daily rate of US$65.00 per person is based on two sharing and includes full board. There is a reduced rate of $50.00 per person in the low season - June 16th to Sept 30th - and a additional levy at the following peak holiday times -Christmas 16 Dec - 15 Jan; Easter 2 Apr - 16 Apr; Golden week 1 May - 9 May; Chinese New Year - of 20% per person.

The resort also boasts a totally isolated villa, Lambingan, situated on it's own private beach and accessed only by boat. The Villa is built into the natural limestone formations, which actually enclose the lower deck except for the entrance leaving a prime beach view.

Monkeys, Monitor lizards, Tarbon, Kingfisher and Hornbill birds to name a few are frequent visitors to Lambingan. You may decide if you would like your meals cooked for you at the Villa or you may dine at the resort restaurant.

The Lambingan Villa is ideal for families, honeymooners and wildlife lovers.

The shower, down on the ground floor, is a masterpiece enclosed by limestone walls and makes the most exotic and spacious Balinese style bathroom you can imagine.

The villa rents at US$150.00 per day with a reduction in the low season to $140.00. As with the bungalows, there is a 20% increase during peak times. The villa sleeps six persons and meals are an additional $30.00 per person per day.

The resort has it's own comprehensive dive shop and resident instructors and divemasters. It operates under European discipline and procedures. The standard two dive day is $50.00. Nitrox, plus all dive kit, is available at extra cost. Apart from the beauty of the location the other big advantage at Sangat is the close proximity to the wrecks: 15 minutes gets you to the action!
